Our St. Patrick's Parade is planned for Sunday 14th March 2010 - details to follow

Sunday 14th March 2010 - Post Parade
The Parade will terminate in the car park at St. Bonaventure’s Hall – Egerton Rd./Berkley Rd. Bishopston Bristol BS7 8HP.Entertainment in the Hall will commence at approx. 2.00pm. Admission:- Adults - £7.50, Post Primary Children - £2.50, all other children free

St. Patrick’s Dance – Friday 12th March 2010
BAWA Club, Southmead Road, Filton, Bristol BS34 7RG. 8.30 pm - 1.00am. Currently in negotiation with Brendan Shine
Irish Dancing by one of our local Irish Dancing Schools and a Raffle.

Fundraising Events:
Quiz Night - Monday 9th November 2009
At the Hauliers Arms P.H. Pilemarsh Redfield (between Avonvale Road & Blackswarth Road) 8.00p.m. Teams of four persons – entry fee £10.00 per Team. A Trophy and a Prize will be presented to the winning Team, a raffle will also be held on the night.
Come along and have some fun.

Aims & Objects of the Bristol St. Patrick's Parade Society Ltd.:
To arrange and organize an annual St. Patrick's Parade and associated events, on or about St. Patrick's Day
to celebrate the day.

Brief History of the Bristol St. Patrick's Parade Society Ltd.
The B S P P S Ltd. was formed in 2006; the Parade activities were administered by the BIS from 2000 to 2006, it was agreed at a BIS meeting that as the Parade and associated activities were gaining momentum, the setting up of a separate society, limited by guarantee was the appropriate solution.

St. Patrick’s Parade 2009
St. Patrick's Parade - Sunday 15th March 2009 Timetable & Route as follows:-
1 12 Noon – assemble in the Roadway by Horfield Common.
2 12.30 - Commence Parade moving off to the following route ;- Gloucester Road (towards Bristol) to Berkeley Road and then to thee Car Park of St. Bonaventure’s Hall where the Parade will finish and disperse at approx. 1.30pm.
3 Entertainment in the Hall will commence at approx. 2.00pm and will be provided byThe Murphy’s Band from Killorglin Co. Kerry. Admission:- Adults - £7.50, Post Primary Children - £2.50, all other children free.

BISBSPPS News: This year the Society is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of it’s formation and the 10th Anniversary of the Annual St. Patrick’s Parade. The small committees of longstanding and willing volunteers are hoping for your best ever support on these special occasions. Do come and support us!

Following last year’s Parade, a presentation from the BIS/BSPPS of inscribed Bristol Blue Glass Salvers was made to Patsy & Nora McCarthy in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the Irish Community in Bristol over many years.
