St. Patrick's Parade - 10th Anniversary - 2009
Our St. Patrick's Parade is planned for Sunday 15th March 2009 - for details of this event see below right. Sunday 15th March - Post Parade
The Parade will terminate in the car park at St. Bonaventure’s Hall – Egerton Rd./Berkley Rd. Bishopston Bristol BS7 8HP.Entertainment in the Hall will commence at approx. 2.00pm and will be provided byThe Murphy’s Band from Kerry. Admission:- Adults - £7.50, Post Primary Children - £2.50, all other children free
St. Patrick’s Dance – Friday 13th March
BAWA Club, Southmead Road, Filton, Bristol BS34 7RG. 8.30 pm - 1.00am. Shawn Cuddy & His Band. and The Somerset Paddies.
Irish Dancing by one of our local Irish Dancing Schools and a Raffle.
Admission £15.00 per person, available by phoning – 0117 955 3931 or in person/by Post (including SAE) from St. Patrick’s Office, 140b Church Road, Redfield, Bristol BS5 9HN - Tickets subject to availability can be purchased on the door on the night

Fundraising Events:
Quiz Night - Monday 20th April 2009.
At the Hauliers Arms P.H. Pilemarsh Redfield (between Avonvale Road & Blackswarth Road) 8.00p.m. Teams of four persons – entry fee £10.00 per Team. A Trophy and a Prize will be presented to the winning Team, a raffle will also be held on the night.
Come along and have some fun.

Following the Parade last year we are making a donation to the Jessie May Trust (Reg. Charity No. 1086048) as posted previously. We would welcome suggestions from our members on the Charity to support this year.

Aims & Objects of the Bristol Irish Society

To advance the education of the citizens of Britain and Irish people living in Britain about Ireland, it’s People, History, Language, Institutions, Culture, Music, Dance, Sport and Folklore and it’s Intellectual, Artistic and Economic life. In particular to meet the Social needs of the Irish people living in the City of Bristol and surrounding Areas.
To act as an umbrella organization for any Irish groups who wish to join with or be associated with the Bristol Irish Society.
The Society is a non-sectarian organisation and is non-political.
